Return California is building a community where people come together in a good way to care for the
land and all living beings, bringing ancestral knowledge forward to meet the needs of today.
Rooted in those teachings, we live and practice ceremony as a daily relationship with the
earth—honoring the lessons learned from the elements, tending the land, and walking with respect.
Through stewardship, shared work, and teaching what we have learned through this work, we walk with
others in learning how to be in right relationship with the natural world.
We weave ancestral knowledge with modern tools, creating pathways for learning, accessibility,
transparency, and the long-term care of the lands entrusted to us.
Our work takes place across many lands, including a 42.7-acre cultural easement, all held with
accountability through community leadership.
